5 Healthy Habits Every Woman Should Adopt to Enhance Her Mental and Physical Health

Healthy habits which makes you happier
“ TAKE CARE OF YOUR BODY. IT`S THE ONLY PLACE YOU HAVE TO LIVE”.

As women, we often prioritize taking care of others over ourselves, neglecting our own physical and mental health in the process. However, it's crucial to prioritize our well-being, which includes making decisions that support our mental health. While medication may help improve our mental health, it's not always necessary. As a wellness coach, I've observed that many women seek happiness in unhealthy ways such as overeating or consuming alcohol, which can lead to feelings of guilt and misery. Fortunately, there are healthier ways to combat stress and anxiety that don't involve unhealthy habits. Here are five healthy habits that have helped me and can help you achieve better mental and physical health.

  1. Take a hot bath:

Taking a hot bath is a great way to unwind after a long day. Creating a relaxing atmosphere by lighting candles, and playing soothing music helps create a spa-like ambiance. To enhance your comfort, use a bath pillow that will support your neck and head while you soak in the tub.

  2. Use essential oils:

Essential oils are a wonderful way to surround yourself with pleasant scents that can help calm and uplift your mood. Use a citrusy oil in the morning to boost your energy and a calming oil like lavender in the evening to help you relax. You can also use facial oil to moisturize your skin and add a delightful aroma.

  3. Take cold showers:

Cold showers are an excellent way to start your day, and they have numerous benefits for your physical and mental health. They can help reduce inflammation in your body caused by long-term stress, help you feel awake and energized, and strengthen your immune system.

  4. Eat healthy, unprocessed, and organic food:

The food we eat plays a significant role in our overall well-being. It's essential to treat our bodies with respect and provide them with high-quality fuel. Adopting a healthy lifestyle, such as eating fresh produce from local organic shops, low-inflammatory foods, and brain foods like avocados, walnuts, blueberries, and green leafy vegetables, can help us maintain our physical and mental health.

  5. Surround yourself with positivity:

Surrounding yourself with positivity can have a significant impact on your mental health. I've stopped watching or reading anything that brings negative emotions like news, thrillers, crime movies, or depressing series. Instead, I choose to surround myself with positive people and activities that bring me joy, like reading self-development books, hiking, walking, listening to podcasts and spending quality time with my loved ones.

In conclusion, taking care of our mental and physical health should be a top priority for every woman. By adopting these healthy habits, we can enhance our well-being and become happier individuals. Remember, a little self-care goes a long way. So take time for yourself, prioritize your health, and live your best life!
